Nunataks of far south Greenland. The word "nunatak" is of Greenlandic origin, and denotes isolated mountains entirely surrounded by glacial ice. It is one of a very few Greenlandic words that are used and/or are familiar to the world outside of Greenland. Others include "nanook" (polar bear) and "mukluk" (snow boots).
