Nunataks and medial moraines, a few dozen miles south of Kangiata Nunaata Sermia. Careful examination of the surface, particularly at lower right, reveals geometric patterns in the dark material (dust and soot) in the surface. Such patterns, which are reminiscent of contour lines on a topographic map, are common on lower glacier surfaces late in the melt season and before they are covered by fresh autumn snow.
