Kangerlussuaq from 10,000'

View of Kangerlussuaq, our home base, during our climbout after takeoff today, from perhaps 10,000'.  The place was known as Sondrestrom Air Force Base (often shortened to "Sondy") during the Cold War.  Lake Ferguson is in the foreground, with its improbably good restaurant the Roklubben ("Rowing Club"), the second building from left on the lakeshore.  The delta of the now fast-diminishing Watson River is prominent at center.
