A variety of icebergs near the calving front of Kangerdlugssuaq Glacier. The icebergs with the smoother appearance have overturned, and are showing their undersides which were melted away by relatively warm fjord water, eventually making the bergs topheavy. The rougher-looking bergs show the heavy crevassing typical of an active outlet glacier, and have not yet become topheavy from subsurface metling and hence have not yet overturned.
