Cirrus over Jakobshavn

Cirrus clouds over the Jakobshavn basin this morning, from 29,000'.  The cloud cover is scattered in the foreground, and probably broken in the distance, but cirrus cloud cover is notoriously difficult to assess at low sun angles, and in this case from an almost edge-on viewing angle as well.  Our optical instruments were able to measure the ice surface through much of this type of cloud cover today, but we had a more difficult time with a thicker mid-altitude stratus deck for portions of the mission.
