79-North Glacier (Danish: "Nioghalvfjerdsbrae"). Zachariae and 79-North Glaciers are the primary drainages of the massive Northeast Greenland Ice Stream. Because of that, these two glaciers connect a large portion of the Greenland Ice Sheet to the ocean, making them, metaphorically, small "corks" for a very large "bottle", and an area of intense scientific interest.
