A stunning MCoRDS radar echogram of the Renland Ice Cap in east Greenland, from yesterday's flight. This quick-look science data product is a remarkably detailed and revealing cross-section of the small ice cap, showing the ice surface, many internal layers within the ice, and the very rugged bedrock underlying the ice cap. We have provided this echogram and others to our Danish colleagues, who will be drilling an ice core on Renland within the next few weeks and who will use this product to help them select an optimum location for it.
