Wednesday, 6 July

  • AO2/Medusa completed installation and power checks
  • MMS essentially completed installation and power checks
  • CAPS changed a transistor and resistor on their circuit board and the instrument is operating well

Thursday, 7 July

  • 09:00: Aircraft pressure check outside (nlt 09:00)
  • Aircraft access ~30 minutes after pressure check
  • 08:00-13:15 Media Day

Upcoming:

  • 8 July  (morning) - Aircraft weight and balance

Tuesday, 5 July

  • 0630 - 1730: Aircraft access
  • WAS snakes installed; leak check in progress
  • CAPS performing off-aircraft calibration

Wednesday, 6 July

  • 0630 - 1730: Aircraft access
  • AO2/Medusa returns to finalize instrument installation and perform power check
  • ISAF installation

Notes and Reminders

  • Egress training is scheduled for every Tuesday and Thursday @ 1400 in the Life Support Office in Bldg 703. This training is a requirement for anyone who plans to fly on the DC-8. Note: If you received this training for KORUS, you are set for ATom.
  • Make sure that your instrument gets a power check before you leave Palmdale. Every instrument must complete a power check before Test Flight #1 on July 12.
  • Be sure you mind the AFRC tool control policy.
  • No food or drinks allowed on the aircraft during integration.
