S-MODE Plan of the Day for Thursday, October 6 (all times Pacific):
Updates:
- The Bold Horizon’s departure has been moved to Friday morning as a full work day is expected tomorrow to complete preparations for the cruise. The ADCP/Trackpoint was fully installed in the moon pool today and is ready to go. Good progress was made on the CTD/Rosette work.
- The Twin Otter/Scripps team has arrived in Watsonville, CA and the aircraft is ready to go.
- Saildrones are coming online Friday. Two are sailing into the operations area from the north, and two are sailing in from the east.
- Scripps/WHOI Wave Gliders are surveying in the north and northwest of the operations area, while the UW Seagliders are moving eastward in anticipation of a new target.
- Go to https://smode.whoi.edu/smode_netlink.kml for a Google Earth view of real time autonomous platform positions.
- Autonomous platform planned tracks are now incorporated into Google Earth in the KML share folder of the S-MODE Drive
