Daily Schedule

Overview:

CAST/ATTREX Instrument integration proceeding as scheduled. GHOST Z-25 installation is behind schedule due to a delay in pallet prep, however the pallet is expected tomorrow.

Accomplishments:
  • All Instruments have passed SIL Bench Testing.
  • AIITS Pod completes Environmental Testing
  • MMS, MPT, Hawkeye, NWV, O3, and GWAS are mechanically installed.
  • AIITS fiber installed – Cabin Pres. Test Thursday AM
Concerns / Watch List:
  • AIITS Diode Laser replacement arrival by early next week.
  • Need for waiver for replacement of AIITS Laser Module without repeat of Enviro. Testing
  • GHOST Pallet installation is behind schedule – expected to begin tomorrow
  • NGC Shear/Bending analysis - Meeting at NGC on Friday to discuss status

Takeoff was at 1953 Z Thursday (0553 ChST Friday), and Landing was at 1519 (0819 PDT).

Current Plan for today, Tuesday, is Post-flight and Preflight:

-0730: Daily ATTREX/GH Leads mtg in Hangar

- 0800 – 1100: Science Post-flight AND Preflight (w/ Aircraft VTC and Data-IT support)

- 1000: Flt. #4 Post-flight Review in Bldg. 1806.

-2300 – 0200: Science Pre-launch Preflight (no VTC Power or Data-IT support)

o   Evening Pre-flight schedule for DOAS, DLH, PCRS, NOAA H2O

Plan for Friday is Science/Transit Flt with the following schedule:

-  0000: GH Launch Crew arrives for aircraft prep. (6 hrs before T.O.)

-  0400 T-0 Briefing in the Hangar

o  0515 PMOF Staffing

-  0530: Engine Start

o   USAF GH SCAT will be used

-  0600: Takeoff (2000 Z)

-   0200 (Saturday): Landing after 20-hr flight (1600 Z, 0900 PDT Friday)

-    AFRC GH Personnel will turn-off Instr. Cal Gases after landing

Overview:

Science Flight #6 is ongoing…  Takeoff was at 1653 Z (0253 local) and landing is currently estimated to be at 0900 Z (1900 local).

Tomorrow morning will be Post-flight/Pre-flight of Instruments.

The Science / Transit flight back to AFRC will be Friday.

Today’s Remaining Activities:

-  ~1900: Currently estimated landing time (to be updated later in the flight)

-  GH Crew returns aircraft to Hangar for weight, and Instrument Gas Shutoff.

o   PCRS, DLH, and UCATS in Hangar for Cal. Gas Shutoff

o   Zone-25 and Z-14 (R2) to be removed temporarily after weighing for this access

- GH Crew performs post-flight of aircraft (engine wash, fuel, weigh, etc.)

-  Fire Watch needed late night to 0700 Tuesday, or aircraft towed to USAF GH Hangar (TBD)

Plan for tomorrow, Thursday, is Post-flight and Preflight:

-   0730: Daily ATTREX/GH Leads Mtg in Hangar

-  0800 – 1100: Science Post-flight AND Preflight (w/Aircraft VTC, and Data-IT support)

-  TBD: Pre-launch Instrument Pre-flight schedule... (based on Take-off time Friday).

Current Plan for Friday is Science Flt / Transit back to EAFB:

-   Schedule is TBD

Plan for Wednesday is Science Flt #6 with the following schedule:

-  0100 T-0 Briefing in the Hangar

o   0200: PMOF Staffing

-  0210: Engine Start

o 0225: Pin Pull

o   0230: Nav’s for Taxi

- ~0245 - 0300: Takeoff (1700 Z, 1000 PDT Tuesday)

-  ~2000: Landing after 17-hr flight (1000 Z, 0300 PDT)

-   2030: Aircraft tow to Hangar, weighed, and Z-25 and Z-14 removed for Cal-gas turn-off

-   2100: Aircraft tow-out for Engine wash and Fueling

Outlook:

-  Thursday is Post-flight and Preflight (time is TBD)

-   Friday Science/Transit Flight to EAFB (T.O. time is TBD)

Current Plan for Sunday is Preflight:

- 0600: Aircraft retrieved from USAF GH Hangar

o   Aircraft fueled for 20-hr flight

-0730: Daily GH/ATTREX Leads Meeting in Hangar

o   VTC and Data-IT support requested

- 1800 – 2100: Science Pre-launch Preflight (no VTC Power or Data-IT support)

o   Evening Pre-flight schedule for DOAS, DLH, PCRS, NOAA H2O

-2000: GH Launch Crew arrives for aircraft prep.

o   (five hrs before 0100 Take-off)

Current Plan for Monday is Science Flt #5 with the following proposed schedule:

-T-0 Briefing at 2300 in the Hangar

o   PMOF Staffing @ 0010

- Engine Start @ 0025

-Takeoff @ 0100 (1500 Z, Sunday)

- Landing @ 2100 (20-hr flight)

o   Note: There is no time change to Daylight Saving Time in Guam

Summary of remaining Schedule today:

- 2000*: Landing (*Note: Adjust schedule accordingly if landing occurs at a different time)

-2015: Aircraft towed back to Hangar and weighed

-2030 - 2130: Science Instrument Post-flight (with VTC and Data-IT support)

- 2130 – 0100: Engine wash, refueling, re-weighing

- ~0100 – 0115: GH Crew supports NOAA H2O & UCATS removal (if needed)

- 0130: Aircraft towed to Hangar 6

-0800 – 1000: Aircraft outside for Satcom testing with DFRC GHOC

-1000 – 1400: Science Preflight with Aircraft VTC and Data-IT support

o Post-flight/Preflight as needed most instruments

- 1930 – 2230: Science Pre-launch Preflight (no VTC Power or IT support)

o Evening Pre-flight schedule for DOAS, DLH, PCRS, NOAA H2O is:

- 2230: GH Crew arrives for Aircraft prep.

Current Plan for Friday is Science Flt #4 with the following proposed schedule:

-T-0 Briefing at 0130 in the Hangar

oPMOF Staffing @ 0215

- Engine Start @ 0230

oPin Pull @ 0250

- Takeoff @ ~0315 (1715 Z, Tuesday)

- Landing @ 2015 (17-hr flight)

Current Plan for Wednesday is Science Flt #3:

-T-0 Briefing at 0130 in the Hangar

o   PMOF Staffing @ 0225

-Engine Start @ 0240

o   Pin Pull @ 0305

-Takeoff @ ~0320 (1730 Z, Tuesday)

-Landing @ 1620 (13-hr flight)

Special Take-off Note:

- If crosswinds are too strong (which is possible) at 0320 for Takeoff…

- Aircraft will be shut down and we will shift the Engine Start, etc by 3 hours (to match the next DOP)

o   PMOF Staffing #2 @ 0525

o   Engine Start #2 @ 0540

o   Takeoff @ 0620

o   Landing is still scheduled for 1620 (10-hr flight)
