Took off SLC, transited to EFD via GEDI ground track, dodging occasional thunderstorms en route. Performed overflight of LBX to obtain ground survey range, did calibration maneuvers over the Gulf of Mexico, and landed at EFD.
ABoVE 2019
Took off Fairbanks after delay due to aircraft maintenance. Flew ICESat-2 line in the ABoVE domain en route to Wind River, Oregon. Flew three mapping lines in the area over Mount Saint Helens and Mount Hood, and then underflew a GEDI track to Salt Lake City. Flight duration limited due to crew duty day.
Took off Fairbanks, transited to underfly ICESat-2 lines over Northwest Territories and Great Bear Lake. Collected ABoVE 2010 lidar lines en route. Flew over the Shovel Creek Fire, obtained calibration ranging over Eielson AFB, and then landed Fairbanks.
Took off Fairbanks, flew ABoVE lines in Yukon Territory, Canada near Kluane Lake, Whitehorse, and Fort Watson, then flew ICESat-2 tracks and returned to Fairbanks.
Took off Fairbanks, flew ABoVE lines over Western Alaska, Utqiagvik, Nuiqsut. Returned on an ICESat-2 line and then overflew the Shovel Creek fire. Landed at Fairbanks.
Took off from Fairbanks, reflew Seward Peninsula ABoVE lines to collect data where it was previously cloudy and offset from yesterday's lines to increase coverage area. Flew YK Delta ABoVE lines, Shovel Creek fire, and a calibration line at PAEI, which was cloudy. Landed at Fairbanks.
Took off from Fairbanks, flew ABoVE lines on the Seward Peninsula in Alaska, overflew the Shovel Creek fire, attempted a calibration over Eielson AFB, but it was cloudy, and then overflew ABoVE sites in Delta Junction. Landed at Fairbanks.
Took off from Fairbanks, flew ABoVE lines in Northern Alaska and Prudhoe Bay near Deadhorse, encountering intermittent clouds. Then flew ABoVE lines in the vicinity of Old Crow, Yukon Territory as well as the Mackenzie River Delta and Inuvik ABoVE lines in the Northwest Territories. Returned to Alaska and flew a pass over Delta Junction, the Shovel Creek fire, a calibration line over Eielson Air Force Base, and landed at Fairbanks.
Took off from Fairbanks, flew ABoVE Southwest Alaska and Central Interior lines. Landed Fairbanks.
Flew multitude of lines around Fairbanks: Healy, Bonanza Creek, Yukon Flats, and Delta Junction.
