ATTREX 01/08/14 Daily Schedule

ATTREX  GH Overview:

-          Instrument Team’s continue to return to DFRC and work on their instruments.

The schedules for aircraft Comm’s testing and the Transit/Science flight are now set (see below).

Today’s Accomplishments:

-          GWAS finished their switch-out of canisters in Z-61

-          Crew and Avionics and Data-IT supported NOAA Water’s troubleshooting of a bad Ethernet Cable – problem appears to be resolved.

-          ESPO continued to prep the LD3’s for loading with Science-related equipment for shipment to Guam.

-          The NOAA Team is so accomplished that at the end of the day  - Fred serenaded them, pic attached.

The Plan for the tomorrow (Wednesday) is:

-          0800 – 1430 PST: Aircraft (and aircraft power) is available as needed by instrument teams.

-          See Dave F. or Jhony Z. to coordinate with Crew Chief.

The Plan for the period Thursday – Friday is primarily for DFRC to PMOF Testing:

-          Aircraft Crew shifted to support late day testing with Guam.

-          Aircraft outdoors 1200 – 1700 PST (0600 – 1100 Guam) for Comm’s testing with PMOF in Guam

              o   Thursday is scheduled, Friday is margin, as needed by Data-IT Team

              o   Instruments may be supported during this time on time-available basis with Data-IT.

-          Instrument Team’s may have access prior to aircraft going outdoors if needed:

              o   0900 – 1130 access in Hangar.

              o   Please coordinate your needs with Dave F. and/or Jhony Z.

There is NO Plan for the period Saturday - Sunday:

-          Aircraft Crew will not be available. No aircraft access of any kind.

-          It is anticipated that Instrument Teams will no work in the Payload Cage over the weekend.

              o   If any are planning to work in the Payload Cage for calibrations, etc. please coordinate with Dave F. or Jhony Z.

The Plan for the period Monday – Tuesday is primarily for DFRC to GHMOF Testing:

-          Aircraft Crew shifted to support late day testing with Guam.

-          Aircraft outdoors 1200 – 1700 PST (0600 – 1100 Guam) for Comm’s testing with GHMOF in Guam
(Continued PMOF Testing from this week will be supported as needed)

              o   Monday is scheduled, Tuesday is margin, as needed by GH/Avionics Team

              o   Instruments may be supported during this time on time-available basis with Data-IT.

-          Instrument Team’s may have access prior to aircraft going outdoors if needed:

              o   0900 – 1130 access in Hangar.

              o   Please coordinate your needs with Dave F. and/or Jhony Z.

Transit / Science Flight Plan:

-          Transit/Science (planned for 20 hour) Flight of AV-6 to Guam is currently scheduled for:

              o   Take-off from DFRC on Wednesday 1700 DFRC (Thursday 1100 Guam)

              o   Scheduled Landing in Guam on Friday 0700 (Thursday 1300 DFRC)

-          Reminder regarding Support:

              o   Instrument Preflight in GH Hangar will start on Wednesday morning

              o   All Instrument Teams should plan to have a full 22-hr PMOF staffing in  Guam at the time of the Transit Flight

o   All instruments Teams should plan to have at least one person at DFRC prior to the Transit Flight to preflght their instrument
