EPIC 2019 Local Information

All EPIC activities will take place at the NASA Ames Conference Center (NACC), Building 152. Please see map below for the location of the building at the NASA Ames campus.

Getting to and from the airport

The NASA Ames campus is easily accessible from the San Jose and the San Francisco International Airports.
We recommend Uber Pool as the method of transportation (its cheap and convenient).
If you are driving:

From San Jose International Airpot (SJC):
Take Airport Pkwy Northeast
Turn Left onto Guadalupe Pkwy/CA-87
Take the US-101 North towards San Francisco
Exit on Moffet Blvd/NASA Parkway
Turn Right onto Moffett Blvd and continue to main gate		 From San Francisco Internaitonal Airport (SFO):
Take US-101 South toward San Jose
Exit on Moffett Blvd/NASA Parkway
Turn Left toward Moffett Field and continue to main gate

Lodging 

NACC offers a variety of great accommodations in the NASA Research Park, at exceptionally reasonable prices. There are two buildings, both within a very short walk of Building 152. A room block at the NASA Lodge will be setup for all EPIC workshop participants and will be available as a lodging option in the registration page.
We highly recommend that all EPIC participants stay at the NASA lodge locations. There are also many options for additional local hotels but the rates might be significantly higher.

Local Restaurants

There are two convenience stores/bar/fast food within walking distance of building 152 and the NASA lodge. The map below shows the location of the Space Bar Cafe (Cafe-Fast food and bar) and the Moon Mart (convenience store style).
