The local Sal Island schedule is as follows (all local times):

General notes:
  • Today, the NASA DC-8 arrives in Sal! Yay!
  • All DC-8 passengers, please make sure you have your EASE, Health declaration form, COVID Vax certificate, and Passport handy upon arrival. (if you don’t have your EASE, no worries, you will be able to pay the tax on-site)
  • The DC-8 will be parked in position #1 (north facing), and all crew will be transported to the SAFEPORT FBO to clear customs and immigration.
  • Rental cars will be picked up also on-site at the FBO (or terminal TBD)
  • The Hilton hotel will be ready for the large group checking in.
  • Patience is a virtue, so be patient while we navigate the aircraft's arrival.
Saturday, September 03
  • Shuttle schedule
    • No shuttle  hotel-airport
    • The shuttle will run after the DC8 lands to transport crew members to the Hotel.

 

  • 1030 – 1230 – Forecasting at the Hilton Hotel meeting room
  • 1200 DC8 take off from Dulles (watch MTS at the Hotel Meeting room or on your laptop)
  • ~19:00 DC-8 Arrives in Sal
