SABRE POD for Tuesday July 21, 2026

KEY UPDATES

  • Badging saga continues… many, many thanks to James for being on top of everything!

REMINDERS

  • Closed-toe shoes required on ramp/hangar, shorts are acceptable
  • Bring badge(s), water bottle
    • It was 94 degrees in the hangar today, please remember to utilize the ice machine and the water station as much as you need to stay cool(er) and stay hydrated!
  • Hangar Wi-Fi is ESPO SARP 1 and the password is Houston123
  • Test Readiness Review (TRR) has been moved to tomorrow
    • Please have a representative from each team present
    • Have any tools that will be used on the aircraft out so they can be approved

  • StarLink system up and running this morning
  • Some badging snags are still in work
  • Many teams intend on working over the weekend

REMINDERS

  • Closed-toe shoes required on ramp/hangar, shorts are acceptable
  • Bring badge(s) and your water bottle
    • There is a water fountain/bottle refill station in the hangar, as well as an ice maker in the far back corner- stay hydrated!

SABRE POD for Friday July 17, 2026

KEY UPDATES

  • Today (Wednesday 16 July) marked the first day of integration
    • The NOAA truck arrived and was offloaded
    • Teams worked to unpack and start setting up their instruments and equipment
    • StarLink system was physically set up, however pending updates delayed personnel’s ability to connect
      • Updates will hopefully be complete overnight, making the service available to hangar occupants going forward
    • Some badges are fully complete and issued, additional personnel have upcoming appointments at the badging office and will receive their badges soon

  • Instrument offload will start as soon as we land, and the crew will do the aircraft postflight tomorrow
  • Some cable harnesses might have to come off the plane on Monday
  • Sunday is pack-up day; ESPO plans to pack up the Starlink and the printer at the end of the day 
  • WB-57 has a hard down day on Sunday, Feb 23
  • The NOAA truck arrives Monday morning at 1000
