Quarantine time will depend on what testing times look like, but my guess is that we’d be safe planning for 14+2 or 14+3…

As for when they go home… if we develop infection during mob (or after), we start over again, with a new isolation period and another round of tests. There’d be a small advantage to having them stay until we sail, but it probably does not outweigh the inconvenience to the people.

Thus the risk for the bus transfer comes from the driver, and undetected pre-travel infection. Bus ventilation systems are not at the same standard as passenger aircraft, which would be a reason for seeking a larger vehicle. But the people on the bus will have all undergone screening (pre-travel PCR test) that still leaves room for error, but is certainly better than the random collection of people they share the airplane cabin with on the way over.
