Hi All,
Sorry for the clutter / drama today and thank you all for the suggestions / positivity. The timeline has moved up and Stuart will know what's up in about 2 weeks. So thinking positively, we are assuming that all will be clear and he’s sailing as planned. Know that we have a back up plan and a back up plan for the back up plan.
More when we know more and think positive thoughts. There will be other curveballs before we’re done…
Best, Dave

He **may** have a fully curable medical issue but needs a definite diagnosis before anything can happen. The present timings for biopsies, etc. mean that he cannot go to sea. Those timings **may** change and he still **may** be able to go; but for now, we need to work on a plan B. We have some ideas (incl. me!) but none are a one to one replacement as we have been relying on Stuart to fill many functions (optics sampling, MSC deployment, emergency TMC re-terms, Hydro teaming, UVP/LISST babysitting / troubleshooting, etc.). Any / all ideas are welcome. I’m at WHOI next week for the OCB, hope to see some of you there…
