Hi All,

Seems like things were just going too well… We just found that it is likely that Stuart Halewood (Norm and my engineer) will not be sailing on the Revelle. He **may** have a fully curable medical issue but needs a definite diagnosis before anything can happen. The present timings for biopsies, etc. mean that he cannot go to sea. Those timings **may** change and he still **may** be able to go; but for now, we need to work on a plan B. We have some ideas (incl. me!) but none are a one to one replacement as we have been relying on Stuart to fill many functions (optics sampling, MSC deployment, emergency TMC re-terms, Hydro teaming, UVP/LISST babysitting / troubleshooting, etc.). Any / all ideas are welcome. I’m at WHOI next week for the OCB, hope to see some of you there…

More as we know more. Best, Dave
