Hello STAQS participants,

If you have registered your information and your travel intentions are up to date, then this message is FYI, and you have no action.

We received some clarification from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base this morning regarding base access and the Entry Authorization List (EAL)(see below). To avoid having to spend time getting a visitor pass at WPAFB you must register on the ESPO site so we can put you on the EAL for the project. Please register on ESPO by May 26. Anyone registering after that date will have to get their own visitor badge at WPAFB.

From WPAFB:
“As for the US personnel, they can’t access the installation with their NOAA and NASA badges unless they are on an EAL.If there’s no EAL they will be required to have a visitor pass issued to them.
 NK-02, Security Assistant”

Note that if you have a CAC or DoD badge you should have Base access as you would on any AFB.

If you need help registering or are not sure if you are up to date I’ve put a quick guide down below (or feel free to contact me and I’ll help). While you’re there it will help our planning and if you can update your travel intentions.

Go to the ESPO STAQS page https://espo.nasa.gov/staqs
If you aren’t logged in then click on “Log in to STAQS” (in the top banner)
From the left options click on “Registration”
From this page you can enter your Travel Intentions and necessary information required for the EAL application. If your Status is “Complete” then you are good to go

Thank you,
-roy (deputy PM for STAQS)
