Hi Fred
I have put Dragana on cc, as the instrument PI.
The L0 requirement is something that just came up in your last meeting with us, and Dragana and I have discussed it and had some questions. As in the past we had only budgeted for delivering L1 and L2 data, we would like to understand the additional burden that this will put on us regarding documentation. Since these data cannot be delivered in standard format, we assume that what is really being requested is that we just give you the raw data and that the only documentation will be the code that we use to turn these data into level 1 data. Is that a good assumption?
In addition, the volume for these data is very large and upload through the internet probably not feasible, or at least not efficient. Another delivery method, such as a hard drive, will work much better.
Regarding the other data, given our desire to present at the OSM meeting, we plan on delivering a version before that meeting. It will be an alpha release, with updates and improvements to be expected over the next year. I hope we can attach appropriate caveats to this release to avoid the data being misused by unwary users.
Ernesto

Ernesto,
I know you are busy getting the DopplerScatt data processed and QC’d.. NASA requires us to upload raw L0 data as well as final QC’d data. We have a folder set up within the PO.DAAC S3 bucket for you to do that whenever you are ready. We’ll need to give you instructions on how.
As you are completing the processing of the science-quality DS dataset, I would appreciate you keeping us updated on the progress. The NASA deadline for submitting the QC’d data is in 6 months, i.e. mid-May of next year.
Fred
