Hello everyone,
A few notes for your arrival to Guam.
BEFORE ARRIVAL:
1) Review the orientation package POSIDON Draft Orientation Package_SMSep12.pdf<https://espo.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/documents/POSIDON%20Draft%20Orientation%20Package_SMSep12.pdf>
2) Print out the directions attached for getting to the Sheraton and for getting to the Hangar
3) Follow these steps to use Google Maps App on your smart phone and access maps offline
1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app.
2. Make sure you're connected to the Internet and signed in to Google Maps.
3. Search for a place, like Guam.
4. Tap in the search field
5. Scroll down till you see Download a new offline area
6. Select Download and name the area.
UPON ARRIVAL:
1) Please note that some car rental companies are not at the airport and you will have to call for a shuttle pickup.
2) Susan will be in the Sheraton lobby from 7am-8am Monday, October 3rd through Wednesday, October 5th to hand out badges. Otherwise email susan.mcfadden at nasa.gov to arrange for badge pickup.
AT THE HANGAR
1) The ISUs, ground support equipment and quick ship items all delivered yesterday. The science trailer was delivered but is not yet air conditioned. The suit trailer will be delayed until Monday. This means some of the sensitive WB suit support equipment is in the science labs until the suit trailer is delivered and air conditioning set up. So please be patient as we get this all worked out on Monday.
2) Internet is up and running in the office area. We rented two mifi units to give limited internet to the lab and science trailer. If you need to download large files, please go to the office area on the 2nd floor and use the wireless rather than the mifi. The 2nd floor office area also has a break area with refrigerator, microwave and printer.
3) You must wear close-toed shoes in the hangar and always have your badge visible on your outer clothing when at the hangar. DO NOT cross the threshold to the ramp at the hangar door unless you have signed out a ramp badge and you are wearing a safety vest.
