Dear ASIA-AQ Colleagues,

I anticipate that many of you are preparing abstracts for Fall AGU. The due date is 31 July.

I am also starting to receive requests to publicize sessions, so expect some of those to come today and over the next few weeks. In that regard, I have two pieces of advice.

1) Pick the most appropriate session for your content. We want people at AGU to notice ASIA-AQ, but that is best accomplished by spreading our content across many sessions. You will be hearing directly about some of the more important ones, but looking through the list of sessions, I noticed around thirty where one might expect some ASIA-AQ content to be relevant.

2) Be complete with co-authorship. Including measurement PIs and finding connections with partner countries is absolutely critical. Now is the time to connect with colleagues about your research intentions. Analyzing the submitted abstracts will help us to see the direction that research groups are taking and whether we have identified all relevant connections. Please ask if you need advice on how to connect.

I would give the same advice for those attending other conferences. Opportunities to present ASIA-AQ work will increase with the release of final data in October.

I am looking forward to seeing all of your ideas.

Jim
