FYI/no action: per the below, the suspension of lists at lists.NASA.gov will NOT apply to lists that contain non-NASA.gov emails. The previously offered solution by NASA (“Constant Contact”) is no longer viable.

Decommissioning of Lists with External Addresses is on Hold

Over the past few weeks the Agency Applications Office (AAO) has been working with Constant Contact to verify compliance with section 889 of the John McCain Defense Authorization Act of 2019.  Constant Contact is unable to verify compliance, and for that reason Constant Contact is no longer viewed as a viable solution to support lists with external contacts (e.g., .com, .edu, .org, etc.).  Given this, AMLS will continue to be available for only those lists that currently contain external addresses.  We are currently evaluating solutions for lists that contain external contacts, and will provide guidance when a decision has been made.



Decommissioning of Lists with Only nasa.gov Addresses Scheduled for January 21, 2021

Lists with only nasa.gov addresses will continue to migrate to MS Teams, O365 Groups, and Exchange distribution lists with the deadline for that being January 31, 2021.  We are working to document user guidance/instructions for these migrations, and expect to have this information out to everyone next week.
