Subject: Introducing O365 Teams Audio Conferencing

[Astronaut floating above Earth with the caption, "Dial In With Teams!"]

The NASA Office of the Chief Information Officer is introducing a new Microsoft 0365 Teams meeting audio conferencing capability! This service automatically populates a dial-in number to your existing Teams meetings, giving participants the option to dial into by phone or join the audio via the Teams application. Teams Audio can also be used for simple teleconferences – no computer required.

Please click here<https://nasa.sharepoint.com/sites/TeamsSupport/SitePages/Request-Teams-Audio-Conferencing-License.aspx> for instructions on how to register for Teams Audio Conferencing on the ESD Portal site – it’s free!

Teams Audio Conferencing improves your Teams meeting experience with features including:

  * Several Ways to Join a Meeting – Participants of your Teams meetings can choose to join via computer (with the Teams application) or simply dial in by phone. No matter the connection method used, you can hear and speak with your colleagues.
  * Teleconference Only – Create a Teams meeting invite with the desktop or mobile apps and start your phone-only meeting with your audio-conferencing PIN. A PIN is not required when meeting via the Teams applications.
  * Participant Management – You’ll be able to see who is in your meeting, either dialed in by phone or on the Teams app. You can also mute, unmute, and remove participants from your Teams meetings.
  * Unique Conference Passcode – With a unique passcode for each Teams meeting, you can rest assured that participants of your next meeting will not dial into a meeting going over on time.
  * Interpreter Tie-In: By providing the option to join the audio portion of a meeting by phone, you will be able to confidently tie in any interpreter service to help facilitate your meeting.

Getting Started
Click on the links below to register for Teams Audio Conferencing and to begin using this new capability:

  *   How to Request a License<https://nasa.sharepoint.com/sites/TeamsSupport/SitePages/Request-Teams-Audio-Conferencing-License.aspx>
  *   How to Setup a Teams Meeting with a Call-In Number<https://nasa.sharepoint.com/sites/TeamsSupport/SitePages/Schedule-Teams-Meeting-in-Outlook-Call-in-Number.aspx>
  *   How to Use a Teams Call-In Number<https://nasa.sharepoint.com/sites/TeamsSupport/SitePages/Use-a-Teams-Call-In-Number.aspx>
  * FAQ about Teams Audio Conferencing<https://nasa.sharepoint.com/sites/TeamsSupport/SitePages/Questions-Teams-Audio-Conferencing.aspx>

Once your license is activated within 48-72 hours after submitting your request, your existing Teams meetings will automatically update to include a call-in number. When you select “New Teams Meeting” from the ribbon on Outlook’s Calendar tab, a Teams call-in number will automatically populate in your new calendar invites.

To include a Teams call-in number for meetings on your managed calendar, those with Outlook Calendar delegates will also need to request a Teams Audio Conferencing license.
