Subject: International Medical Evacuation Support: Civil Service Employee Business Travel
This is an Agency-wide notification to all NASA employees.
There has been a change in the company name (but not in support) of NASA’s Agency-wide provider of international medical evacuation: TMH was acquired by Iqarus; Iqarus’s parent company is International SOS.
Effective immediately, International SOS is the Agency-level provider for NASA international medical evacuation and similar support. Please discard any information, documents, and wallet cards referencing TMH.
NOTE: There may be other NASA Centers (e.g., JSC) that contract with other providers for additional and specific medical evacuation services. This change does not affect those Center unique contracts.
International SOS Support Information:
* NASA-dedicated 24/7 phone lines while on travel: 1-800-905-5924 or 1-215-942-8462
* NASA Agency Membership Number: 11B108879166
* Support Web site: www.internationalsos.com<http://www.internationalsos.com/> (use NASA membership number to access Web site)
* PHONE APP: Download the ASSISTANCE APP for instant access to International SOS Support at https://www.internationalsos.com/assistance-app
Upcoming Activities:
An Agency-wide webinar presentation by International SOS to all NASA civil service personnel is scheduled for January 13 at 2:00 p.m. ET. Contact janine.e.scoville at nasa.gov<mailto:janine.e.scoville at nasa.gov> to be included on the Outlook invite so that you can participate.
New wallet cards are being ordered for distribution to NASA medical clinics and/or anyone else who would like to have one (we’ll send them out as soon as they are received from International SOS).
New brochures are being ordered for distribution to NASA medical clinics and/or anyone else who would like to have one (we’ll send them out as soon as they are received from International SOS).
Reminder: NASA’s internal firewalled Web site features medical evacuation information https://inside.nasa.gov/international-business-travel.
NASA’s public-facing Web site also provides medical evacuation information at https://www.nasa.gov/offices/ochmo/divisions/health_medsys/emerg_med_evac.html.
