Shipping to and from Kwajalein

All shipments to and from Kwajalein will be coordinated through the Kwajex Project Office at NASA Ames. The point of contact for shipment of items to Kwajalein is Quincy Allison, who can be reached as follows:

Information on shipping options is given below; please review this information then contact Quincy to coordinate shipments.

Option 1: Military cargo transport

The primary means of transporting items to Kwajalein will be via military transport. Surface and air transportation is available:

• Air cargo takes 1-4 weeks, depending on priority
• Surface takes ~ 1 month

NOTE: Large items to be shipped will need long lead-time!!!

Deadlines for surface transportation from West coast to Kwajalein:

"Departure" in table above means departure from the West coast ports of Oakland or LA. Surface shipment from point of origin must also be taken into account in planning for Kwajex shipments.

Option 2: Continental Air Cargo

Items that meet the size and weight constraints in the tables below may be sent to Kwajalein via Continental Air Cargo. The cost may be higher than shipping via military transport, so please check with the project office before shipping via Continental Air Cargo.
