Poster Session
Please notify meeting organizers of your interest in presenting a poster. Printing options are detailed below.
Option 1: Print from home and bring your poster
You are welcome to print your poster on your own and bring it with you to the meeting. Posters brought to the venue should not exceed 4 feet in width. Please drop off your posters when you check in at registration. Our team will place posters in their designated locations.
Option 2: Print locally and have it delivered
We have identified a local printer that can print your poster and deliver it to the meeting organizers. Posters printed through this option should not exceed 3 feet in width. Pricing costs are:
- $3 per square foot for regular paper
- $6 per square foot for glossy paper or paperstock
To place an order, please email rainbowincline@gmail.com with your poster file, preferred paper type, and indicate it is for the FireSense Meeting. You will then need to call the printer (775-831-2276) to provide payment over the phone.
Field Trip
We are planning an optional field trip to Whittell Forest and Little Valley Research Station on Thursday, Oct. 29. Please meet in front of the Prim Library at 8:00 AM to be assigned to a car to take you to the destination. We are aiming to be back around 1:30 PM but please plan for a later arrival.
Food will not be available for purchase or provided during the field trip so we strongly encourage eating before departure and bringing snacks with you. Water will be provided and restrooms will be available.
If you are attending the field trip please bring the following items:
- Appropriate attire: please dress in versatile, weather-ready layers—including a warm insulating jacket and a wind-resistant outer shell—so you can easily adapt to changing temperatures. Additionally, wear durable, closed-toe walking shoes or boots with good traction, and bring a warm hat to stay comfortable throughout the day.
- A pre-packed lunch and/or snacks and beverage
- Water bottle
- Sunblock
A digital waiver will be provided during the meeting and is required to attend the field trip.
