May 21 – 1st Cargo Run for C-130 from WFF to Pituffik. Most of the science and support equipment will ship on this date.
May 24 – 2nd Cargo run and passenger transit to Pituffik. Plane will consist of passengers and cargo. The plan is to fly from WFF to BTV to pick up additional passengers and then make its way up to Pituffik. Cargo will consist of luggage, time sensitive cargo, and other remaining items that had planned to ship on this 2nd cargo run.
If there are any critical/last minute/late shipments that otherwise did not make the NASA C-130 run, please contact ESPO and we will do what we can to assist.
For the return shipping plan at the end of the deployments, most science cargo will be shipped back via McGuire AMC from Pituffik since the C-130 will be used to mainly shuttle passengers and limited cargo. The cargo that will return via WFF C-130 will be prioritized for instruments/cargo with projects coming up right after ARCSIX, e.g., PACE-PAX in September. For those instrument teams, please let ESPO know which items are critical.
For the cargo returning via the McGuire AMC route, the ETA to Wallops is TBD. I will send more information when we get closer to that time, but for now, please plan to be without your stuff for a few weeks.
