Title: Development of the methane dection small satellite constellation

Abstract: The minimize the impact of the greenhouse gas effectively to the global boiling era, it is crucial to detect the methane emission and its emission rate. Hanwha Systems, a leading company in the space industry of South Korea, is developing the small satellite constellation for methane detection as a satellite program initiated fron NIER. The payload has spatial resolution of 100 m and spectral resolution of 0.1 nm. The constellation consists of 5 small satellites, and they will be launched from 2027, and be operated in a sun-synchronus orbit.

Thank you for registering for in-person attendance at the TEMPO/GEMS Science Team Workshop August 26-30, 2024 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Please review this and future updates for answers to your pressing questions:

  *   ●If you can no longer attend in person, and/or if you wish to withdraw your presentation, please contact tg-meeting-support at espo.nasa.gov<mailto:tg-meeting-support at espo.nasa.gov> as soon as possible so that we can give your space to someone else who wants to participate. Note that we are not accepting remote presentations.

  *   ●The organizing committee is currently evaluating the many abstract submissions for posters and oral presentations and creating our schedule. We’ll contact you again as soon as the schedule is complete and posted on the meeting website.

  *   ●Please save Monday evening, August 26, to join us for a group dinner sponsored by NIER, Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research. We will ask you to confirm attendance at the dinner and allow you to request a ticket for an adult guest (guest tickets will be $106 US). Watch for one of our next updates. Guest tickets may be somewhat limited due to space considerations.

  *   ●We will also communicate to presenters about deadlines for slides, poster formats, etc. in the weeks to come. Note that physical poster space will be 4’ x 4’ (half of a large poster board) or approximately 1.2m x 1.2m.

I'm Jinsuk Hong, Chief Engineer of Hanwha Systems.

I wonder if there is a chance that I can submit a poster for a poster session.

Hanwha System has been working with NIER(Korea National Institute of Environmental Research) and rescently won the contract of methane detection satellite project.

I was in charge of airborne NO2 detection sensor for NIER and currently in charge of the newly won contract of the methane detection satellite project.

We heard about this conference last week and my superior and NIER wants me to participate in this conference.
