Subject: [S-MODE] S-MODE Science Team Meeting in Feb 2021
Dear all,
I hope you are all doing OK as we bring this challenging year to a close. One reason I am writing is to reaffirm that we are still planning to move forward with the S-MODE pilot campaign in April 2021 and the first full campaign in October 2021.
The other purpose of this message is to try to schedule a full S-MODE Science Team Meeting during February so that the whole team can brief one another on what they are thinking about with respect to S-MODE science and the S-MODE experiments. Please complete this doodle poll to indicate which days could work for you in the Feb 11-26 window:

As hard as it may be to believe, I recently participated in a multi-day, multi-hour virtual meeting for a large project that was enjoyable and stimulating. That ~10-hour meeting was spread over three days over the course of two weeks, with the understanding that people would not be able to attend the whole meeting. I would like to try to organize our Science Team meeting after that model, identifying 3-4 viable days over two weeks in February. We would be aiming to meet for 2-3 hours on those days to cover the status of the science, the instruments, and the plans for S-MODE, with at least one person from each institution/group presenting on their work.
Best wishes,
Tom
