Subject: [Pace-pax] PACE-PAX meeting recap

Hi everybody,

Thank you for participating in the PACE-PAX kickoff meeting yesterday. If you couldn’t make it, we have placed the slides and recording on the ESPO PACE-PAX website (https://espo.nasa.gov/pace-pax ). If you don’t yet have access to the website please request an account and contact Erin Czech if you encounter difficulty (erin.czech at nasa.gov<mailto:erin.czech at nasa.gov>). I also should have mentioned yesterday that the overall PACE-PAX mailing list is: pace-pax at espo.nasa.gov<mailto:pace-pax at espo.nasa.gov>

I intend to continue monthly meetings for PACE-PAX, at noon Eastern Time on the second Tuesday of the month. Please let me know if you have a regular conflict with this time, otherwise look for an invitation soon. Our next meeting will be Valentines Day: February 14th. In that meeting, I would like a representative from each of the following teams to give a 5 minute overview: who you and your team are, what role you play in PACE-PAX, and what you need to be successful in that role.

  1. Twin Otter facility in situ instruments
  2. LARGE instrument suite
  3. LI-Nephelometer
  4. AirHARP
  5. HSRL-2
  6. PICARD
  7. PRISM
  8. RSP
  9. SPEX Airborne

In a subsequent meeting, we’ll cover the roles of the weather/forecasting team, the data archive team and overall details of the ER-2 and Twin Otter aircraft. We also plan to set up specific aircraft integration meetings in the near future.

Again, thanks for joining, and for your excellent comments and questions. We’re doing our best to keep track of them and resolve them when we can.

Thank you
Kirk, Brian and Ivona
