I'm very sorry everybody, but need to update this time to an hour later - I was reading Doodle from the wrong time zone. -KDK
Hi everybody,
We'll have our next PACE-PAX tag up Monday, March 21st at 11am 12pm EST. This will be our tentative monthly meeting schedule, ie. the third Monday of each month at this time.
One of our goals will be to answer any questions you may have about the white paper or VTM not that you've had a chance to read them.
Then, we'll start to discuss the assumptions you may have for your budget. If you have your starting budget already we can discuss.
Somebody asked me if an instrument should be expected to deliver data at level 1 or 2 (observed radiances vs geophysical variables, in the case of remote sensing data). An excellent question, which I'd like to discuss. I think it will depend on the type of instrument (direct vs remote vs proxy) but we should talk about this more.
Thank you
Kirk
PS Below are some of the things I hope you have a chance to check before this meeting.
1. Please register or log in to our PACE-PAX website: https://espo.nasa.gov/pace-pax. Once you do so, you'll be able to see shared material, such as slides from meetings.
2. Our group email list is: pace-pax at espo.nasa.gov. Please compile a list of all members of your team who should be receiving these messages - we'll use that to keep the mailing list current.
1. What to work on now:
* Read the PACE-PAX white paper and other material (https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpace.oceansciences.org%2Fcampaigns.htm&data=04%7C01%7Cpace-pax%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cb0412a8c18894d31a64608da01dc0c02%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C637824341853730056%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=U5xYjCGT%2FU1FniVeynnEymguDOKKmNe9Evgoqf%2Bjlck%3D&reserved=0<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpace.oceansciences.org%2Fcampaigns.htm&data=04%7C01%7Cpace-pax%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cb0412a8c18894d31a64608da01dc0c02%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C637824341853730056%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=U5xYjCGT%2FU1FniVeynnEymguDOKKmNe9Evgoqf%2Bjlck%3D&reserved=0>)
* Understand who is your 'team'
* Start working on a budget, schedule and other needs. We'll discuss the assumptions behind a budget more in the next meeting.
