Thierry,I'm very sorry that you were inadvertently dropped from the TEMPO validation session (John caught it). You have been on the panel to discuss the precision and accuracy facets of the TEMPO and correlative (not only lidar) measurements in a validation context.I realize you are immersed in the NDACC meeting on Tuesday and Thursday,  but if you could attend the TEMPO validation session on Wednesday 13:45 EDT (10:45 Wrightwood time), I'd be very grateful. The format is for the panelists to present 1 or 2 slides in 5 minutes to establish a particular facet of the validation process. We do not expect to define the entire valodation plan in 1 hour, only to set the landscape for a subsequent process in monthly telecons to write the plan.Even if you are unable to produce your 1 or 2 slides at this time, we would still request your participation in the discussion.Judy,Please send Thierry a meeting invitation. Thanks,Mike and Ron

Send your 1 or 2 slides by this Friday, please. Jim/Luke, Tom, John, Alex, Laura, and Barry:The format for our session is for Ron to present (5 minutes) the new scientific aspects and metrics of validating a GEO space-borne AQ sensor, for me to present 1 slide on a suggested process to create the validation plan, and then for each of you to present 1 or 2 slides summarizing, in 5 minutes each, the significant aspects of your organization's planned activities and concerns related to TEMPO validation. Barry will summarize campaign activities related to TEMPO. We will then have 30 minutes to discuss all of these plans and concerns. We want to emphasize the discussion portion and want to hear your thoughts and ideas about what everyone is thinking. Two desired outcomes are:1. Determine which 3 Pandora sites will constitute the 'contractual validation effort" and on what schedule. This discussion should be quite short.2. Establish a process (monthly telecons?) to establish concrete plans for discrete observations and anticipated schedules for all correlated observations and how those observations will contribute to understanding TEMPO performance with validation metrics. This discussion will be the beginning of a year-long planning process. Several of you have contributed ideas and questions about the validation plan. And, there are many more parties interested in being involved with the validation efforts than we can accomodate in this session. These additional parties include some of the Early Adopters and some of the Green Paper investigators. Feel free to represent any other folks who you know have an interest and we will broaden the spectrum in the subsequent planning telecons. This session is our opportunity to synthesize a coordinated approach to planning this effort. It would be helpful if you could send your 1 or 2 slides to me by May 28 (this friday, long weekend), in preparation for the TEMPO meeting next Wednesday (you'll get an invitation to the meeting).Meeting info site:https://meeting-info.org/tempo-stm2021/Thanks,Mike and Ron
