Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the availability of new AIRS/OMI multi-instrument O3 profiles data in support of KORUS-AQ mission analysis. There are two viewing modes: (1) a TES-like "global survey" nadir-only mode (2) regional O3 maps centered over Korea. The global survey data are available from March-June, 2016. The regional maps are available from April-June, 2016. They can be found at https://tes.jpl.nasa.gov/data/. Initial validation has been performed on older, 2006 data. These should provide a synoptic perspective for aircraft data. All of the diagnostic data including observation operators are available in the products. These will facilitate comparison and assimilation with regional and global chemical transport models.
We welcome feedback and inquiry about the data. For further information, please contact Dejian Fu (dejian.fu at jpl.nasa.gov) or myself. Dejian will provide a briefing on the data at an upcoming telecon.
Best regards,
Kevin Bowman
