Subject: Agenda and Preparations for the KORUS-AQ Science Team Meeting
Dear KORUS-AQ Colleagues,
Attached is the planned agenda for our upcoming Science Team meeting at the end of this month. The meeting format is somewhat different than usual. Instead of oral presentations and posters, the meeting will be conducted as a series of work sessions. These sessions will address the topics from the Rapid Science Synthesis Report. During each session we will aim to assess what progress has been made on each topic and what work remains. Please look at the attached agenda and determine which work session(s) are relevant to your work and contact the session moderators to let them know you will have material to present. Your presentation should focus on findings that advance (or challenge) what was communicated in the RSSR. These presentations should be short and focused (3-5 minutes) without dwelling on the details of your analysis and methods. We may want to know more details during the discussion, but it is important to start by assessing the findings under each topic for consistency and completeness. If your work is in progress, some indication of where it is heading is sufficient. For those who have important findings of interest that fall outside the current RSSR structure, there is an additional session on “other relevant findings”.
Given the meeting format, remote access during the work sessions will be ineffective, but we will plan to offer remote access during the final session when summaries are presented and action items are discussed.
In the interest of preparing for the meeting, we will not have a WebEx this month and will resume in October. If you are not able to attend the Science Team meeting, but have material that should be shared, please contact the appropriate moderators.
We are looking forward to a productive meeting.
