KORUS-AQ Colleagues,
There have been a few more updates to the KORUS-AQ data archive. Most have been addition of a few missing files or updates to field data files. The most significant update is the addition of a flag for identifying periods when DC-8 data was collected in clouds. Details from Lee Thornhill are provided below.
We are considering a new set of DC-8 merges in the next week. Please let us know if you have any impending plans to submit new or revised data so that we can schedule the merge to include as many updates as possible.

08/16 - LARGE data product updates from Lee Thornhill
1. The CPSPD data files have been updated to include a cloud flag (label = Cloud_Flag). It is a binary value, either 0 or 1. If the DC-8 is likely in a cloud, the value is 1, in clear air it is 0. It is based on looking at the raw CPSPD data counts for particles greater than 10 um and comparing it to the notes made by LARGE team members during flight. The raw data were binned into 10 um bins and if the total counts/s exceeded a threshold determined from notes and data analysis, the cloud flag is set to 1. Please note that this is not an absolute indicator, but indicates that a cloud was likely present. Video analysis has not been done to check the flag values.
2. The CNC data files have been updated to account for time lags
