Dave,
As I did not know that Sunday would be a hard down day and therefore I’m not scheduled to arrive Boise until late Saturday afternoon, but I’m trying to change that to earlier so Alan and I can work on the instrument on Saturday...I will then transit with DC8 myself on Monday to Salina
In any case this causes issues with my language. I only intend to bring carry-on with me for my whole stay. Am I fine bringing my carry-on on DC8 or do I need to do special arrangement sending part of my carry-on directly to Salina?
Thanks
Petter

Attached please find the FIREX-AQ Salina Deployment Guide. One very important piece of information in the guide (in the “Transport of Luggage from Boise to Salina†section) is the transport of luggage from Boise to Salina. The DC-8 transits from Boise to Salina on Monday, 8/19.
1. Those that will be flying from Boise to Salina on commercial airlines will need to take their luggage with them.
2. Those that will be flying on the DC-8 will need to have the bulk of their luggage transported to Salina on the trucks carrying the science equipment. The trucks are scheduled to leave Boise on Sunday, 8/18 and arrive in Salina on Tuesday, 8/20. This will require the luggage to be dropped off in a designated area of the hangar (TBD) before the end of the day on 8/17 and the need to carry an overnight bag on the transit flight that contains all personal hygiene, medical necessities and clean clothes needed for three days (8/18/, 8/19, and 8/20).
