Good news!! Results are back and Stuart is sailing (and I am not!!). This resolves a bunch of issues we have been discussing lately (TMC CTD retermination, MSC care and feeding, general insurance for marine tech issues that will arise, etc.).

Best, Dave

So thinking positively, we are assuming that all will be clear and he’s sailing as planned. Know that we have a back up plan and a back up plan for the back up plan.

He **may** have a fully curable medical issue but needs a definite diagnosis before anything can happen. The present timings for biopsies, etc. mean that he cannot go to sea. Those timings **may** change and he still **may** be able to go; but for now, we need to work on a plan B. We have some ideas (incl. me!) but none are a one to one replacement as we have been relying on Stuart to fill many functions (optics sampling, MSC deployment, emergency TMC re-terms, Hydro teaming, UVP/LISST babysitting / troubleshooting, etc.). Any / all ideas are welcome. I’m at WHOI next week for the OCB, hope to see some of you there…
