Hi All,
Thank you for being patient first thing this morning and for a very successful first day of MOB!
Below are a few issues to keep in mind as we progress with MOB.
1. If you are sleeping on the ship, you may park at the ship overnight. Please leave a wide space (6-7 spaces) where the forward crane is located so that they can pick pallets, etc. that will go on the forward 02.
2. Walk-in freezer: the walk-in freezer was defrosted after the last cruise and should be back to freezing by tomorrow afternoon, if not sooner. Remember, the walk-ins are chemical free.
3. A new fridge/freezer (for the Hydro Lab) and a new chest freezer (for the main lab) will be delivered to the ship tomorrow.
4. LN Dewars will be filled again tomorrow. Some were filled today but there was not enough to completely fill all the dewars. More LN will be delivered tomorrow. The two 50L dewars that are for back-up and topping off dewars are filled an on the ship. The have not yet found a permanent home.
5. Storing large boxes/pallets on the forward 02 deck. Many of you would like to store your pallet boxes on the forward decks for DMOB. We need to organize for getting all of those craned on tomorrow. I recommend that any group that would like to use this option meet me on the dock near the empty boxes/pallets and we can figure out which boxes need to be moved and craned.
6. Two science hold spaces are available for smaller packing boxes and things like spares, etc. The first and most accessible is forward of the main lab and the second is aft and below the Wet Lab. We do not get all of the space in these holds, so please see Deb or I before storing boxes in either space.
7. If you want dinner on the ship sign up by noon for that evening's dinner.
8. Please provide Deb or Jason a copy of your MSDS to provide the ship. It would be great if you would write your name(s) and where the chemical will be used on the ship. Keep one copy for yourself. Please update the chemical inventory form if you have not done so recently. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZO7qEh2FLKYjC4XU33juJs-6FkIZ_IDiptmSCLWOKc/edit?usp=sharing
9. A sign-up sheet for ship's email is posted outside of the computer lab. Please add your information so that you will be included on all ship-based email communications.
Thanks!
Jason and Deb
