Hi to all -
I don't want this conversation to fall through the cracks:
1) JASON + ALLEN - address to ship the pump to, from Matt's other email is:
Both pumps can be sent to Marfac at the below address:
Nimitz Marine Facility
Attn: RR1813 (Steinberg/EXPORTS) or SR1812 (Nelson (EXPORTS)
297 Rosecrans St.
San Diego, CA 92107
Let me know if there are any other questions on this.
Pump that you are sending is ATTN: SR1812 (Nelson (EXPORTS)
2) QUINCY - see email from Dave below - is there a way for you to help with shipping of the Emmanuel's pump? if so - can you coordinate that with Jason? That pump should be Attn: RR1813 (Steinberg/EXPORTS)
Sorry - lot of emails flying around, I just want to hear a clear confirmation that this is well taken care of.
Thank you all
Ivona

I have asked Allen Milligan to push through the paperwork on our pump order.
Norm, do you have an address to where we can have this shipped directly to Matt? If so, can you send that to Allen and cc me please?
Thanks,
Jason

Thank you Dave.
It is a 200lb piece that will arrive back to WHOI on the 13th of April.
Best,
Emmanuel

Hi Quincy,
Any reason why you guys (NASA AMES) can’t ship the pump from WHOI to SIO directly for EXPORTS? Seems like you’d shipping it from Maine anyways (as you’re the shipping person for all the PIs anyways).

Emmanuel, will you and James be meeting the ship for DMOB?
Some logistics info for shipping from the WHOI warehouse: Shipping of gear after NAAMES via the warehouse needs to be scheduled for April 16th or later. Gear will be moved to the warehouse over the weekend on the 14th and 15th. Just a heads up if you are coming for DMOB that the Armstrong also arrives on the 13th and has priority for unloading gear from the OOI moorings so the dock will be BUSY!
I will be leaving Woods Hole on the 16th around noon. Just let me know how I can help. I'm happy to help arrange shipment with the company we use (Stevens Global) if that is helpful.

Norm,
In an ideal world I would like the pump to come off from the Atlantis and be shipped from WHOI to SIO directly (it weigh 200lb, I don't want to drive with it home).
Anything that you can do to help it happen is greatly appreciated.
Best,
Emmanuel

Hey Jason, thanks! I was just going to talk to you about this - we’ve had a request from Scripps to have the pumps in hand as soon as possible for installation before EXPORTS - it would be nice if we could get both of them to Scripps after NAAMES - this means you guys might need to advance your acquisition schedule for the new one as well. I will follow up with Matt and Emmanuel next week to make sure of the details. Thanks! Norm

Hello from the North Atlantic!
While we are at sea with one of the pumps that will be used for EXPORTS, Lee Karp-Boss asked if I thought the pump should go back with them to UMaine before EXPORTS or if it should be sent somewhere else for delivery to the ships. One option is that we ship it to OSU with our equipment from NAAMES and then to the ships as part of a larger shipment of West coast equipment. Quincy, correct me if I have those details wrong or if that is no longer the plan.
Any strong opinions on this?
