[Exports_pi] May meeting - change in dates

Good morning dear PIs,


As you recall, our May meeting was planned for 21-23, somewhere on east coast. However, recently we found out that Scripps will hold a meeting for chief scientist in San Diego, that will happen on May 29th (more about that meeting a bit later).
In order to ease the travel for some, and still have our meeting prior to them meeting with ship people, we decided to move our meeting for later that original week- 23, 24 and 25 of May. Meeting will be held in Santa Barbara.

Idea is that at least one PI should be present from each group - in case if the group has 2 sets of measurements (e.g. Behrenfeld's group has "physiology part" and "optics part") it would be great that two PIs are present there, so appropriate people are there to answer questions about specific measurements. Also, it is better if we keep students, techs and similar out of this meeting (if they are not crucial for decision making process).

Since that will be our last meeting before we sail out, this should be the meeting where will be going over our final plans, and finalize any little details remaining.

We will be sending details soon, we are still looking in meeting venue (probably on campus) and hotel (swanky hotel this time). As always we will have a conference line open...Please contact Dave or I directly if you have a problem with anything.
