Hi All,
Hope all are doing well. I have been talking to folks and some have come forward to want to share their results. Scheduling an all-hands meeting for Monday - April 10 - 11am Pacific / 2pm US east coast - https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fucsb.zoom.us%2Fj%2F4233295672&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=%2BjKloAuUc680uCLpYBWRp6O3YLXgHAd%2FhBn18ouzj5E%3D&reserved=0 <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fucsb.zoom.us%2Fj%2F4233295672&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=%2BjKloAuUc680uCLpYBWRp6O3YLXgHAd%2FhBn18ouzj5E%3D&reserved=0>.
I know that Laetitia Drago (LOV) is eager to share her work on classifying the UVP images from the North Atlantic into archetypes using MorphoCluster and there are others whose mentors have volunteered them. Please let me know if you want to present.
Couple other things. First, we need to keep track of papers published, so please add these to the Pub List on the EXPORTS shared drive. https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fdocument%2Fd%2F1TubgXWf9qA-kNHRduUZJ0w5Iy6EFnj6jf4Nlr_r-AvI%2Fedit&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=gLGgKckLwOKTEdoP3Gh0ivLQ40uuaLLgA%2BhPi%2BCVxIU%3D&reserved=0 <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fdocument%2Fd%2F1TubgXWf9qA-kNHRduUZJ0w5Iy6EFnj6jf4Nlr_r-AvI%2Fedit&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=gLGgKckLwOKTEdoP3Gh0ivLQ40uuaLLgA%2BhPi%2BCVxIU%3D&reserved=0>
One thing we are attempting to do is to put together synthesized data sets (intercalibrated CTD profiles, bottle data, glider data, intercalibrated UVP PSD, pooled Rrs spectra, etc.) into shared data repositories (Pangea, Earth System Science Data, Figshare, etc., etc.) for ease of use and citation. These will have doi's so they will be citable. Please consider this as we go forward. Doing this supports NASA's open science initiative and would help Laura get phase 2 funded already (we need that level playing field…).
Another thing we should all think about is getting our submitted papers (especially our intergroup synthesis papers) into a preprint server. That way they get a doi before publication and we can cite it in our other papers going in. Leah and I are planning on doing this for the two exportsNA context papers we are working on after they get finalized. Meg used EarthArXiv (https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Feartharxiv.org%2F&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=%2B8VCRpvuiJEbw5nUFvCIhydkV3wdUSDTza7TLR81C3c%3D&reserved=0 <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.proofpoint.com%2Fv2%2Furl%3Fu%3Dhttps-3A__eartharxiv.org%26d%3DDwMFaQ%26c%3DdWz0sRZOjEnYSN4E4J0dug%26r%3Dl_8SkXRQj5yOPYT4GgkDZw%26m%3D28IZ6V2mPJpfzaJV16OFeoy2NrqNavNaNbAFlRXcJNFhqscJJ0LXtgw576Df8scl%26s%3D1L8pZkQgtabRRJgwXpZ4HXI-RvXF1IcdrcDBuca4gII%26e%3D&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=DA1Ip8cCxCeybwA51%2B3t7uhSZ9%2FuAbV6VyuHpZRTkic%3D&reserved=0>) for her optical sediment trap calibration paper (see 10.31223/X5NQ1X <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdoi.org%2F10.31223%2FX5NQ1X&data=05%7C01%7Cexports_all%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf1765e8316ab4980877108db2709e7b7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638146695752245392%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=VdDT4EFa3UfTCthJ9vzgc%2FO3pc%2FD9%2B0wjoMMQPEIISU%3D&reserved=0>). Anyways, please consider this as you get your exports science out the door.
Hope to see you all virtually on April 10 and let me know if you’d like to present.
