Hi all,

This is a follow up request for each group to provide me information about their shipping, MOB and DeMob requiements. I realize I did not provide a due date in my initial email, please provide this information by C.O.B. Friday, March 23.

Your best estimates are fine for now, I’m not expecting a final product.

Thank you,
Quincy

Subject: [Exports_all] EXPORTS shipping

Hello All,

As part of the planning of the EXPORTS deployment, we need to collect shipping, MOB and DeMOB information from the teams. Please provide your best estimates for items you plan to ship, including general cargo, hazmats, return samples and waste. Also, please include the address your shipments will originate from.

For general cargo:
We need a quick estimate of the total amount of equipment and supplies you plan to ship. Proving a rough number of pallets/skids is fine (a typical size of a skid is roughly 48”x48”x48” @ approximately 500 lbs). Also please indicate any very large, heavy, sensitive or odd shaped items you will ship.

For hazmats:
Please fill out the attached hazmat template as best as you can, the attached template provides of a couple of examples. This information is typically on the outside packaging of any hazmat, or can be found in section 14 of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

For return samples and waste:
Please provide a general description of any samples or waste you plan to ship after the cruise, including size, type of packaging, cold or frozen, hazmat or non-hazmat, special handling, etc.

Other:
Please provide any additional pertinent information that is not covered by the above categories that may be useful in the planning of the shipments.

General shipping plan:
The plan is to pick two locations -one east coast and one west coast- to consolidate all of the equipment being shipped and load it into exclusive use trucks to be forwarded to Seattle. We are planning on scheduling all equipment to arrive in Seattle a day or two before mobilization day to minimize equipment handling and storage.

Once the locations to consolidate the shipments are identified we will provide detailed packing and labeling instructions to the team.

Please, don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

Thank you,
Quincy
