Hi Kate,
Would the week of September 9 work for you? MWF mornings are generally good for me, or ThF afternoons.
Should we plan to include anyone else from the project in this call?
Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken,
Pleased to make your virtual acquaintance.
Just wanted to reach out to let you know NASA Earth Science Division has allocated some funding for communication support of the DCOTSS mission, along with the other Earth Venture Suborbital missions coming up next year. This includes sending a NASA public affairs/communication lead to host a media event with the ER-2 in Salina, KS. In addition to the onsite media event during the deployment, the NASA Earth Science team plans to hold a media briefing during the AGU conference in December and a televised NASA social event in Palmdale during January to help bring media and public attention to each mission.
Joe Atkinson (cc’d), Earth Science PAO from Langley Research Center, will also be tag teaming the mission with me. We would like to set up a brief call during the next week or two to discuss the event plans and overall topline communication messaging for the mission. We’re also looking for input on science visualizations that we would have a team at Goddard Space Flight Center create to help promote and explain the mission concept.
Do you have a specific date/time that you might be available to chat? Also, is there anyone from Texas A&M public affairs office that you’d like us to work with on promotion? If so, I’ll be sure to invite that individual to the meeting.
Thanks and looking forward to working with you again!
