Greetings team,
First we want to thank everyone who attended last week’s CPEX-CV Science Team Meeting, both in-person in Pasadena and remotely. We thought it was an excellent, productive meeting that has us in a better place as we approach one month from our field deployment to Cabo Verde. Many thanks goes to Lynn and Vidal from ESPO for their on-site organization of the meeting — considering the challenges of a hybrid format, everything went very smoothly. Also many thanks to Rebecca Toll and Erin Zimmermann from Periscope Theory for their guidance and fruitful team building exercises.
We’re attaching here a report from the meeting — this meeting report contains the link to the presentation archive (now available via the LaRC CPEX-CV data archival portal), action items from the meeting (if you read nothing else, please read these!), a summary of the Dry Run, and specific notes from each session below the Agenda from each day.
If you do not see your presentation slides or poster file archived on the LaRC site, please let us, Lynn Kennedy (lynn.kennedy at nasa.gov <mailto:lynn.kennedy at nasa.gov>), and Gao Chen (gao.chen at nasa.gov <mailto:gao.chen at nasa.gov>) know and we’ll arrange to get the file uploaded.
Finally, a reminder that our biweekly telecons will continue in August in the run-up to the field, with our next one scheduled next Tuesday, Aug. 2nd, from 11a-12p ET / 9-10a MT / 8-9a PT. Please come with any questions you have for travel and deployment logistics. And remember — keep your travel plans updated in the ESPO database and fill out those medical questionnaires for the DC-8 QNC ASAP when you get them, so you’ll be cleared to fly in time for the program!
Many thanks to everyone for their ongoing hard work — we’re getting close! And, as usual, pass along any questions you have.
Jon and Ed N
