Hi Team,

So sorry to send this to everyone, but I have arrived at the Sheraton and if any of you are here and want to get together,
I am going to be in the lounge for a while, and then go find some dinner.

See you all tomorrow if no takers this evening. Or just give me a call on my cell.

Ed

Hi team,

Please see the attached meeting notes from today’s (7/5/22) Biweekly CPEX-CV Science Team Meeting telecon.

Please read all the notes attached, but pulling a few important things from the notes today:

  * Please keep your travel and personal information updated in the ESPO database. That information (including the copy of your passport that you upload) is now being used to obtain airport access permits for the team. It will also be used to create daily schedules in the field, to ensure we have enough people available in each role, each day of the campaign
  * Hilton hotel reservations for Sal are open through July 20th — please use the room block link on the ESPO webpage<https://espo.nasa.gov/cpex-cv/content/CPEX-CV_Lodging_and_Transportation> — you can reserve your room prior to getting your SSAI travel voucher approved.
  * If you’re staying in Sal for more than 30 days, then you need to submit an application for a different Cabo Verde visa — you cannot obtain this special visa when you arrive — you must have it before you arrive in Sal
  * The Cabo Verde Deployment Guide<https://espo.nasa.gov/cpex-cv/content/CPEX-CV_Deployment_Guide> is also available on the webpage and is a live document – please take a look.

About the upcoming CPEX-CV Science Team Meeting<https://espo.nasa.gov/cpex-cv/content/CPEX-CV_CPEX-CV_STM> from July 18-21 in Pasadena, CA:

  * Additional requests for poster presentations should be made to Jon Z and Ed N by this Thursday, 7/7 — we still have room for more posters
  * Please send any comments, questions, concerns about the Draft Agenda<https://espo.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Draft%20CPEX-CV_22STM_Agenda.pdf> to Jon Z and Ed N by Monday, 7/12
  * Please take a look at the agenda to see when you are presenting, and how much time you have to present

Jon Z, Ed N, and Amin are also looking to create rosters of participants who will fill 3 specific roles: Mission Scientists, Flight Scientists, and Dropsonde Processors — team members interested in those roles should respond to Jon Z’s email from 7/5.

Best to all, and thanks for all of your hard work as we push closer to the field.

Looking forward to seeing many of you in Pasadena in a couple of weeks,
Jon
