Dear ARCSIX team,
it's time for a second Greenland update.

  *
The C-130 is on its way to Pituffik - first cargo run, arrival 2:38 EDT. FYI: We are in the Atlantic time zone (EDT+1, UTC-3). From now on I will be using local time or UTC.
  *
Test flights P-3: One completed (see Luke's email), one to go (today)
  *
Test flight G-III: One completed (yesterday)
  *
Lear: Currently down; assessing repair needs and timeline
  *
Room situation. Good news: We have more single rooms than expected (shared bathroom between adjoining singles as you often find them on military bases). They are all in building 99 (map to follow). The local operator is still getting them ready; some persistent plumbing problems need to be fixed. It's not perfect but getting better every day. In addition, we have buildings 331 and 336 (flat tops) with ~13 rooms (mostly single). Minor drawback: Those have two bathrooms + additional sinks for the 13 people, this will require some coordination, but we won't fill the buildings completely.
  *
Instrument/Office space situation: We are setting up instrument work benches at various locations in hangar 8 today. In addition, we are getting our office space ready (building 201).
  *
Meal cards (prox cards with electronic cash): We will get them before you arrive; they also get you into the gym and other places.
  *
First full weather briefing: Saturday 10am
  *
Base briefing: Tuesday 1pm
  *
First science flight (P-3 only): Tuesday 0800-1500. Target area: Most likely buoys in the Lincoln Sea. Second science flight: Wednesday or Thursday (P-3 + GIII), TBD.
