ARCSIX Team,

Update on today's G-III flights

  * Proficiency flights were completed this morning.
  * First attempt at ICF required us to RTB for a FOD shutter door issue that prevented HALO from operating. AVIRIS were able to successfully collect data during this first flight.
  * Time and fuel allowed us to quickly turnaround and relaunch for a second attempt.
  * During the second flight, test points were completed for HALO and AVIRIS including cloudy and clear sky over varying surface conditions per the flight plan.
  *   3 dropsonde releases were conducted during the over-water segment. 2 from FL390 and 1 from FL260.
  * There was an issue with dropsonde communication below 18000 ft. This problem is being actively worked.
  *   Overall, a successful day.

ARCSIX Team,

A quick update from the G-III side: we have our Instrument Check Flight (ICF) scheduled for later today! Pilot proficiency check flights will take place this morning and upon successful completion, we will prepare for a ~3 hour ICF. You should be able to track us on MTS and, hopefully, view HALO quicklook curtains.

G-III tentative schedule for Monday May 20

0800-1000 Proficiency flights
1200-1500 ICF

More to come,
Ewan
