[Arcsix] ARCSIX C-130 Shipping to Pituffik

Hi all,

There was confusion on my part regarding the luggage situation.

We will need EVERYONE’s checked luggage at WFF by the 17th for palletizing, since there won’t be enough time to stack/arrange/weigh/net/load everything in between the cargo run and transit flight day. This includes everyone transiting on the P-3 AND C-130, even if you are transiting at WFF.

For shipping reference, FedEx ground can ship to Wallops 3-7 days depending on where you are shipping from, so please plan accordingly. Please, if possible, ship in advance to avoid overnight fees and delays.

Just to clarify, the deadline to send your check-in luggage to WFF is still May 17th if you plan on traveling through Burlington, VT, to catch the C-130 to Pituffik.

Hi all,

Friendly reminder to send all your cargo to Wallops if you haven’t done so already, by next week, May 13. ESPO and the C-130 folks plan to organize, pack, and weigh your cargo during this week and get it ready for shipping to Pituffik the following week.

As a reminder we will have two cargo runs, one on May 21 with mostly cargo, and another on the 24th with the transit.

Also, please don’t forget to send your large luggage to WFF if you plan on catching the C-130 in Burlington, VT. Please send tracking information for your luggage to espo-arcsix at nasa.onmicrosoft.com<mailto:espo-arcsix at nasa.onmicrosoft.com> and kelly.griffin at nasa.gov<mailto:kelly.griffin at nasa.gov> so we can keep track of your items and make sure it arrives on time.
