Hi all,
Sending a friendly reminder to ship your large check-in luggage to WFF by July 18th so it can be packed on the C-130. Please send tracking information to Kelly Griffin (kelly.griffin at nasa.gov<mailto:kelly.griffin at nasa.gov>) and ESPO (espo-arcsix at nasa.onmicrosoft.com<mailto:espo-arcsix at nasa.onmicrosoft.com>) so we can make sure it arrives on time.
If you have any questions or concerns, let me know.
Thanks, and have a great weekend!

All NASA aircraft will transit to Pituffik on July 22, 2024
Review the tracking spreadsheet <https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fspreadsheets%2Fd%2F1udy_HILmCs_UNZczUyo5XiXWPVgNvrhui2-s_KOeL8A%2Fedit%3Fusp%3Dsharing&data=05%7C02%7Carcsix%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf3f068b953bc47e4197f08dca2b17dc7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638564130410484733%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=sRWdUQ9jPn7tpznfmEIK221QshuQYOw8g%2BOce7nB4Jo%3D&reserved=0> to see which aircraft you will transit with to Pituffik SB.
I made some assumptions (please feel free to correct them); a) Foreign Nationals will transit to Pituffik on the P-3 because of restrictions with the C-130. b) each P-3 instrument has at least one representative assigned a seat. If not indicated, I picked a name. You can switch with a colleague if needed.
Transit on the C-130
There are two options for transiting on the C-130.
1. Boarding the C-130 at WFF -- Recommended for those already at WFF for instrument work or locals who can arrange transport and lodging
2. Boarding the C-130 at Burlington VT International Airport -- Due to limited accommodations at WFF, we arranged for the C-130 to stop in Burlington, VT, to pick up the rest of the team. Travel to Burlington by July 21, 2024, spend the night, and meet the C-130 at the Heritage Aviation FBO<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fflyheritage.com%2Fservices%2Ffbo%2F&data=05%7C02%7Carcsix%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf3f068b953bc47e4197f08dca2b17dc7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638564130410484733%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=%2BTkpD0rOzg5DWUT0uK%2FNs9mIdtY%2FSMeCKWUGRv7n6dY%3D&reserved=0> the next day. The hotel room block is active; please make a reservation HERE<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.marriott.com%2Fevent-reservations%2Freservation-link.mi%3Fid%3D1713227389948%26key%3DGRP%26app%3Dresvlink&data=05%7C02%7Carcsix%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf3f068b953bc47e4197f08dca2b17dc7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638564130410484733%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=8YiUhuKqBx9pGiXWkFlbw%2F72v743QHyyVwZCkBMmgGY%3D&reserved=0> as soon as possible. The room block expires on July 1, 2024.
Regardless of where you board the C-130, your luggage must be at WFF by July 17, 2024, to be palletized.
When returning to the USA, the C-130 will also stop in Burlington, VT, to clear customs. Book your hotel reservations here<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.marriott.com%2Fevent-reservations%2Freservation-link.mi%3Fid%3D1714150119684%26key%3DGRP%26app%3Dresvlink&data=05%7C02%7Carcsix%40espo.nasa.gov%7Cf3f068b953bc47e4197f08dca2b17dc7%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C638564130410484733%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=ElaywX%2FCeezwXEaVDevC%2BIdRjXQmt%2FYUacqnH7jjS9E%3D&reserved=0> if you are getting off in Burlington and wish to spend the night.
